That's right!
It's time for my first ever giveaway!

Imagine you are strolling through a farmer's market..
You grab some tomatoes and potatoes and maybe some celery,
then you walk to another stall and buy some bread.
You're going to need something to put all of that in, right?

These genuine French market baskets from The Market Basket Co. are perfect for the job.
They're hand crafted in Morocco from natural palm fibre with strong Moroccan leather handles,
and they are way more stylish than your Coles eco bag.

Because these baskets are so strong they also hold alot more,
so instead of lugging around 10 plastic shopping bags,
you'll have one stylish alternative.

The handles are long enough to sling the bag over your shoulder,
which is perfect if you're going to be carrying your buys for a long period of time.

I was lucky enough to receive not one, but two of these gorgeous baskets,
so I'm giving away one to one of my fabulous readers!

I thought these baskets would be perfect for a picnic,
filled with delicious fresh food and a picnic rug to sit on.
Or for a trip to the beach, as they don't mind getting wet!

The market basket you could win is a classic french style market basket
edged with bright green Moroccan leather and deluxe 60cm handles.
(see above)
The basket can be carried in the hand, or over the shoulder
and at a recommended retail price of $57.00, why wouldn't you want to enter?

  1. this bag would come in handy for me whenever i shop @ woolies ^_^

congrats on your first ever blog give away :O)

  2. It's big enough to carry the whole families possessions - so it could be a family outing bag

  3. Wow.. very nice! A blog with giveaways makes it even more exciting! Too bad I'm not an Australian resident!

BTW, the first photo is lovely. I love the play of light and shade on it and it has a really warm country feel to it with the fresh veggies and the bread! Very nicely done!

  4. wow. that's one pricey basket. i must have one to fill with lots of picnic hamper goodies for my next weekend picnic trip and it sounds big enough to put all my green Coles bags in it too ;-)

  5. I would use it when I browse through the farmers markets. I am sure it would hold lots of fresh produce. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway.

  6. I'd take it everywhere. To the food market. To woolies. To the beach. I love how it's big enough to fit my beloved camera in :)

p/s: congrats on the first giveaway!

  7. Blog about it! Oh wait, I already did ;)

I'm forever wandering around town doing errands, so it would hold my parcels from the post office, random groceries, library books and university supplies. It looks a lot more sturdy than my paltry green bags, so I dare say it'd get a lot of use! Congratulations on your first giveaway, and thank you for your entry into mine :)

  8. Definitely the Farmers' Market. And you've inspired me to throw my camera in too!

  9. I'd love to be original but honestly I'd normally use it when I walk up to Eveleigh Farmer's Market. Absolutely love it there and I could do with a nice big bag, since I always buy far more than I plan to!

  10. I dont get to go to many markets due to work, but if I were to win that basket it would certainly be useful for uni, carrying my books and of course, my rediculous knitting collection.

  11. If I were able to win this bag I would fill it with large wedges of parmigianno Reggiano and really fine Balsamic Vinegar, a few large loaves of italian bread and the list goes on..

    Thanks Kristy!

  12. This bag is so gorgeous, I will not let it go to the beach and get sandy and wet but it will be accompanying me to my book club meetings, around town when doing the shopping and when out catching up with friends (just so I can show it off to everyone).

  13. definitely use it for grocery shopping :)

  14. Oh what a gorgeous basket - perfect for mushroom hunting in Oberon! A good basket is great for letting those mushroom spores drop back to the forest floor.
