It's party time

So exams are over and it's formal season
hair, makeup, dresses, suits, ties, killer shoes and lots and lots of hairspray!

Yesterday I took some photos for my gorgeous friend Monique before her formal,
here are just two with her beautiful pup, Bella.
I have a couple more photos i'm going to share with you in another post so keep your eyes peeled!

This week has gone pretty fast for me,
I think the enthusiastic attitude I talked about in my last post helped alot!

The rest of my week will involve cake baking,
party organising and lots of cooking!
Talk about a perfect week :D

I'm getting more and more excited for christmas as the days pass,
santa in the shopping malls,
christmas music in stores,
christmas goodies lining the shelves
this is definitely the best time of year!

But before I can fully immerse myself in christmas spirit,
I have to get past my sister's birthday (which is this saturday)
but... I may have to secretly eat out of my brand new christmas dinnerware before then :P

But do tell me,
what's your favourite time of year?
and how do you feel about the silly season?

Sweet Saturday: sharing time!

Why hello bloggies!
Hope I didn't lose you with my knee cap post :P
This sweet saturday is a little different.
I want to share some sweet posts I've seen this week,
and maybe you could share some too!

Banana Bread fan? Have a look at Diary of a Ladybird for some Chocolate Banana Bread
After a more decadent sweet? Shellie's recipe for Mars bar cheesecake might be more your style
I love handmade gifts and these Hot Chocolate on a Stick from Penguin Says Feed Me seem super simple and fun!
Now this recipe is a savoury one, but I think it's super sweet that Allie's dad joined her in creating a post!
Fruity desserts can be fabulous, like Lorraine's Pineapple Meringue Pie
Kelsey's blog is always full of sweet muffin goodness, check it out!
I'm looking forward to trying Lauren's recipe for Carrot Cupcakes with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting
Julie's friends had a sweet idea of a Scavenger Hunt and Progressive Dinner for her bachelorette weekend
Do Caramel rum bananas and pecan brittle sound good to you? Look at Ellie's post!
Jenna's Favourite chocolate chip cookies look perfect!
A big sweet congratulations to Brandi, who's now a published writer!
Jamieanne looks like she's mastered the perfect chocolate ganache with her Salted Chocolate Shortbread

now can you add to the list?
don't be embarassed to add one of your own posts either!

This week I've been loving fruit!
I just haven't been feeling like eating ice cream or chocolate
and i've been gravitating towards strawberries, apples, watermelon, pears, kiwi - you name it!
In my opinion, nature often trumps baked goods and candy!
This weeks desserts have been centred around loaded yoghurt bowls - with puffed kamut! yum :)

Andddd now it's time for some puppy loving
She's in need of a hair cut
and she's scruffy because she's just been out in the rain
But I love my little bunch-a-fluff
and I decided she needed to be included in the post because she's currently at my feet
and totally sweet!

That's what Chanel looked like the day I got her,
shnawwwwwwwwwwwwh.
Darn I wish I had a better photo! Pre-camera days :P

Today's confession?
Chanel (see above) has about three-hundred-and-sixty-million
other names that she is called on a daily basis.

So tell me,
What can you add to the list?
and do you create other names for your pets?

Meet Donald and Daisy - brother and sister.
These two cute puppies are owned by a close family friend who we're going to call Sparkles

Donald and Daisy are named after the Disney characters,
Because like me - Sparkles is obsessed with Disney.
They're "cavoodles" - A cavalier cross poodle.

You wouldn't really guess them as being brother and sister as they're so different,
Like the photos show, Daisy is the bubbly energetic one
and Donald is like a meek and mild old man.

I went over to Sparkle's house with a mission,
a mission that I completed.

To take the photo you see above.
Luckily I had my zoom lense, because as soon as I walked two steps further from where I took this shot,
the dogs came running up to the gate to greet me.

I loveeee working with animals,
Sometimes It can be extremely difficult - Because like children,
they don't always want to do what you'd like them to..
But it's a great challenge.

I have an (almost) 2 year old puppy who recently has decided she doesn't like her photo taken anymore.
She's incredibly cheeky and smart so as soon as the camera gets close to her face she'll bury her head in her paws
or run around crazily to get away from me.
(She's awfully cute though)

So tell me,
What's your favourite animal?

057.

Today I spent the morning at the Sydney Royal Easter Show's Showbag Launch,
And so did the kids from The Children's Hospital at Westmead and from Royal Far West
as well as a whole bunch of mums, dads, grandparents and people from the media.

The morning started with a petting zoo for the kids, who were the SRES's official show bag testers.
There were chickens, ducks, calves, lambs, calves, a pony and even a donkey.

the event then moved inside where Michael Collins, General manager of the easter show
revealed the predictions for the top 10 showbags of 2010

What are the predictions for the top 10 showbags of 2010, I hear you ask?

The classic bertie beetle showbag on steriods - This showbag is actually three showbags in one; filled with bertie beetles, lollipops, tattoos, kit kats, smarties, redskins, milko sticks, a postcard, stencil set and a bertie beetle egg cup.
- $6.00

time to breaaaathhhheeeee.....
and that wasn't even all of them

Michael Collin's challenge to 2010's showgoers? To unleash their inner superhero.
Of the 302 showbags unveiled at the launch 1/3 are under $10.00,
Meaning our wallets won't have to leave empty.

There are the old classics such as Bertie Beetle and the new favourites like LA ink and the Backyardigans.
There are definitely showbags for people of all ages - and I definitely have my eye on the Darrell Lea Bags

 from the M&M's super bag

the stars of some of the show bags even paid a visit

as well as the TMNT and Carebears there was Batman, Freddo and My Little Pony,
the characters played with the kids while they ran around excitedly choosing their showbags.

from what I saw, the "Showbag testers"were estatic - some overwhelmed by their sheer number of showbags,
Looking at their mum's and dad's like "can I really have this?!"

the Easter show is just 5 weeks away
and by buying your tickets online you can save heaps - 15% on family tickets.
so have a look at the Easter Show Website
where you can find information on everything that's going to be happening
as well as information and pictures of ALL 302 showbags

Thankyou to Kate for inviting me to the Showbag Launch - It was a pleasure attending the event.
If you'd like me to attend one of your events and blog about it, email me at ksayerphotography@gmail.com

I want to know your favourite easter show experience! Comment and tell me all about it :D

meet bones :)

we stumbled across him today while taking a little walk.
this little guy was a perfect subject for taking photos.
so if you're bones' owner, and you stumble across this photo
makes sure you give him some extra food tomorrow.

046.

whilst catching up on school work, i've discovered that i hate poetry more than i previously thought.
it doesn't help that Peter Skrzynecki has a name that I always manage to spell wrong.
I've googled his name about 35040530403405305 times.

Plus, the internet is a good tool for procrastination.
Especially blogging.

i've also comes to the realisation that NO ONE,
may i repeat.. NO ONE, reads this blog.
but i'm going to keep on blogging anyway.
