Breakfast is hands down my favourite meal of the day.
Whether it be a steaming hot bowl of oatmeal or a refreshing bowl of cereal I'm all for it!
Cereal also happens to be one of my favourite foods, I actually think it should be an entire food group on its own.
I'll eat it for breakfast with a bunch of creative toppings and I'll eat it as a snack or for dessert.
To be completely honest, I'd eat breakfast foods at every meal.
Back to Nature have a line of delicious cereals that are made from all natural ingredients and aren't overly processed.
In fact, the Apple, Apricot & Almond Farmer's Choice Cereal was already making regular appearances in my breakfast bowl before this review was even thought about!
The Farmer's Choice cereals are much like a granola.
They're crunchy and full of flavour with a bit of chew from the dried fruit hidden inside the clusters.
The cereals are also wheat free and high in fibre and contain no added cane sugar.
I'd never tried the Apple, Cranberry and Cinnamon version before the review and I can safely say that...
I LOVE IT! and it will also be making regular appearances in my breakfast bowl.
I love eating them with milk or yogurt and fresh fruit and adding whatever nuts or dried fruits that may take my fancy
as well as adding them as a crunchy topping to my oatmeal or mixing it with cottage cheese.
(I know, I know - people have an automatic "EW" reaction to cottage cheese, but I love it - don't knock it till you try it)
Now my only problem is choosing which flavour I want to have that morning!
The Apple, Apricot and Almond Bitez are bite sized muesli bars with all the flavour of the Farmer's Choice Cereal.
They are delicious! I love chewy muesli bars so these were absolutely perfect, they have the same feel as a freshly made oatmeal cookie.
You might be thinking BUT THEY'RE SO SMALL?!?! and don't worry - I was too.
However they are really satisfying, proof that size isn't everything!
They've become a snacking staple and I have a few stashed in my purse for when the hunger monster attacks.
The Waffle Bitez and Cookie Bitez are super fun cereals perfect for little ones
(or people who like me who still loveeeeeee and devour childish foods :P)
I loved the Cookie Bitez on their own. (I'm a huge dry cereal fan)
They're a great snacking cereal and perfect for adding to yogurt bowls.
They're just sweet enough and have no artificial colours, flavour or preservatives.
Plus, the little cookies are ridiculously cute - perfect for cookie monsters!
The Cookie Bitez and Waffle Bitez are also gluten and wheat free - so they're perfect for those with intolerances or sensitive tummies.
The Waffle Bitez I was a little disappointed with,
on their own they didn't have much flavour at all and in milk they turned soggy quite quickly.
I would've loved a stronger maple flavour, which was what I was expecting.
However, they hold up quite well in yogurt and work as a base cereal for adding yummy toppings.
You can find Back to Nature Cereals at Coles and Woolworths stores in the "Health Food" aisle
as well as in health food stores and independent grocery chains.
But I have to say - you MUST try the Farmer's Choice Cereals (especially the apricot one!) you won't regret it!
But tell me -
What's your favourite meal of the day?
and What's your favourite cereal?
I already told you I love the Apple, Apricot and Almond Farmers choice cereal,
but some of my other favourites are muesli (any kind, really), honey oat cheerios and UT's Honey High Fibre Bites.
Oh and DON'T FORGET!

I love your bowl! and I am a dry ceral fan as well. Although I have milk with corn flakes.. and a sprinkling of sugar. Don't judge me, it's just the way I've always had it :P
ReplyDeletemmmm cookies...
I love it too :P It's a set of three nesting heart bowls!
ReplyDeleteI actually used to eat cornflakes dry, with sugar and sliced banana as a child because I didn't like how soggy the cornflakes got :P So no judging here!!
It's not hard to tell that breakfast is your favourite meal of the day :) Mine would probably be lunch because that's the meal I have out the most and try the most interesting things- I love trying new things I've never had before! My favourite cereal would be Kelloggs Honey Nut Crunch- I love sweet sugary things....haha :) I eat these by themselves as a snack all the time!
ReplyDeleteTrying new things is always fun! and dry cereal is the best snack :P
ReplyDeleteGirl, you're going to laugh when I tell you my favourite cereal!!!!!...........its Lucky Charms.....I know what you're thinking its not cereal!!! I can't help it :) its my guilty pleasure ;)
ReplyDeleteOk, seriously I do eat the healthy cereals. I'm really partial to Weetabix, especially with warm milk and honey....yum
Haha can I just that's the cutest post title ever :P
ReplyDeleteManni - Lucky Charms tastes really good on its own, but I always found it got too sweet when you put it in milk! Everytime we're in the US my sister HAS to have trix and lucky charms :P
ReplyDeleteLorraine - haha, thank you!
My favorite meal is dinner! Growing up I used to hate eating breakfast so my Mom would make us buttered noodles so to me that is a normal breakfast. I'm starting to like cereal a lot more these days :)
ReplyDeleteI think all kids go through the breakfast hating stage! I know at one point all I would have was vegemite on toast, but I was also lactose intolerant! Thank goodness I grew out of that :P
